ARCHITECTURE
Architecture was my gateway into the realms of form, painting, photography, and other artistic mediums. Since starting my studies at the University of Tehran in 2009, it has been a central part of my life. Later, studying in Milan became a pivotal moment for me, where the Italian design scene profoundly shaped my taste and deepened my understanding of form, architecture, and design.
After relocating to Germany, I had the chance to work with a few architectural firms, which greatly enriched my practical experience. This allowed me to contribute to a variety of public and private projects, from new constructions to renovations. Alongside my professional practice, I’ve nurtured a deep fascination with form-finding, constantly exploring new possibilities in shaping and manipulating structures. This ongoing exploration is driven by a desire to push the boundaries of form, uncovering innovative ways to rethink and redefine spatial and sculptural expressions.
ON THE FOOTPRINTS OF PUMICE
UNESCO has suggested the island of Lipari to be one of the focal points of the Aeolian Islands geopark system. Lipari hosts several Pumice industrial sites, which are one of its main characteristics. Accordingly, the site of Acquacalda - located in the north of Lipari which includes the pumice silos-has been chosen to transform the existing buildings into a post-industrial park and open-air museum.
FOLIES
In architecture, a "Folie" refers to a small decorative structure without practical function, designed primarily for aesthetic purposes. These whimsical forms began to appear in my drawings around 2015. Rather than forcing their design, I allowed the lines and their inherent narrative to guide their evolution.
LOST CITIES
We navigated an unprecedented period in human history, facing the uncertainties of a post-Corona world. The pandemic had exposed our vulnerabilities, indicating that this crisis was a precursor to future challenges.
